Ann L. Sutliff Ann L. Sutliff, 62, passed away on Feb. 9, 2019. She was born Oct. 2, 1956 in Traverse City, to Donald and Millie Shea. After growing up on a cherry farm overlooking Grand Traverse Bay, Ann graduated from Michigan State University and started working at Holt High School, where she would teach English class to countless high schoolers over her career.
Ann loved to read and take care of her grandson, and she was eagerly anticipating the upcoming births of two more grandchildren. Throughout her life, she loved returning to the farm in Traverse City and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her nephew, Logan Shea; her mother-in-law, Doris Sutliff; and special cousin, Rich McCarthy.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jeff Sutliff; her children, Kyle Kast, Whitney (David) Hill, Ian (Briana) Kast, and Preston Sutliff; her grandson, Wallace; her two grandchildren-on-the-way, Presleigh Jane and Theodore; her parents, Don and Millie Shea; her siblings, Katherine "Katie" (Tim) Belanger, Patrick (Marta) Shea, and Michael (Shanna) Shea; her many nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Amy Lester, Bill Savage, and Brenda Lynch Hawley.
Visitation will be held on today, Feb. 12, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In honor of Ann, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

We are so sorry to hear of the very untimely death of your beloved Ann. We remember her with great joy and fondness from our years together at Holt HS. We lived across the street from the Sheas on Rose Street. We played with Ann and her sister Katie. Prayers for her family.
