Arthur "Art" Wyckoff, 91, of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at Kingsley Speciality Care in Kingsley, Iowa.
Arthur was born April 23, 1926 in Kingsley, Michigan, the son of Norman O. and Violetta (Baldwin) Wyckoff.
He grew up in Traverse City, graduating from high school in 1944. Following graduation he entered the Army Air Corps July 7, 1944 and served in Europe during World War II until his honorable discharge June 24, 1946.
After that he returned to Traverse City, where he married Carol L. Coddington. Following their marriage Arthur and Carol bought an office supply store in Traverse City that they owned and operated until retirement.
Arthur was a Boy Scouts leader for many years and belonged to the Elks Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Marty) Lalumendre, of Kingsley, Iowa, and Wendy Wyckoff (special friend, Jimmy Sams), of Canton, Georgia; son, Richard (Fannie) Wyckoff, of Traverse City; four grandchildren, Ryan Wyckoff, Jesse Lalumendre, Jade (Jake) Popken and T.J. Lalumendre; one brother, Norm Wyckoff, of Traverse City; and one sister, Arlene Wyckoff, of Traverse City.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol; one sister; and four brothers.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Nov. 16, 2017 at Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa, with military honors provided by United States Army. Visitation took place one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial of cremated ashes will be at a later date in Traverse City.
