Barbara 'Joan''s Story
Barbara "Joan" Hall, 85, of Kalkaska, passed away on Oct. 3, 2017 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center-Long-Term Care. She was born on May 26, 1932 in Kalkaska, her parents were the late Howard and Ethel (Ball) Golden.
Joan enjoyed gardening, doll making, yard sales, stained glass, quilting, and sewing. She also liked music, dancing and singing. Joan loved and appreciated her family and friends.
Survivors are her children, Rick (Lauri) Krumlauf, of Traverse City, Ron Krumlauf, of South Boardman, Pamela (Gary) Beck, of Petoskey, and Virginia (Dave Lenon) Krumlauf, of Mancelona; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Joyce Tanner, Gary (Melba) Golden, Ron (Gloria) Golden, MaryLou (Jesse) Stuck and Kenneth (Joyce Ann) Golden, all of Kalkaska.
Preceding Joan in death was the father of her children, Elvin Krumlauf; and brothers, Clifford and Dick Golden.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service.
