I am truly overwhelmed with sadness with the news of the passing of this wonderful, kind gentle giant. What I can say about Bruce is that he always had my back; he was a kind, caring and wonderful man, he truly was a one of a kind. Rest In Peace Bruce, you will be missed.

I met Bruce in 1978 at shadowland. Throughout the next two years, I also met Renée and got to know them through friends like Joe Maslowski. Our Paths seem to cross many times throughout the years, and we have many friends in common. Bruce was one of the kindest, true to himself people, that I have ever encountered . I will truly miss hearing that Rich, gorgeous voice of his. I will miss getting a hug when I run into him at the scorpions clubhouse. There are people that you encounter in your life that make an impression, and Bruce was one of those. The best of my heart to his wife and everyone who loved him.

As a child I’m sure I met Bruce many times. But as an adult I was just reintroduced to him a little over a year ago. I’ve heard so many stories over the years of The Shadowland days and crazy shenanigans between him and my dad Tiny. Condolences from my mother Beverly and myself. Bruce definitely left his mark on the world.

The last time Butchie & I saw Bruce & Renee was summer of 2017. We randomly dropped in to the AML (we hadn't been in there for months) and here were Bruce & Renee in their coveted seats at the end of the bar. We hadn't seen them in forever and had the nicest visit. Butch & Bruce got drunker & drunker & Renee & I got more & more pissed. LOL! What a wonderful last memory that we had such a nice visit with just the 4 of us. My memories of that last visit will always bring a smile to my face....I will forever remember that last "bear hug" when we parted ways that day.

Bruce was one of the best men I have been fortunate to know! He was one of the greatest bus drivers ever. He had a great sense of humor and went the extra mile to put a smile on kids faces. He was the bus driver for several of my special needs students over the years. He had a soft spot in his heart for these kids and it showed! We had water balloon fights after school where we’d help our students throw balloons at him, he loved it as much as the kids. He’d gently bounce them on the chair lift bringing laughter and smiles. He will be truly missed! I am thankful to have had the pleasure of knowing him!

I met Bruce when I was just old enough to be a waitress at Shadowland in 1980. Looking at him his size was intimidating but then that laugh was intoxicating. You will be very missed Bruce. God blessed us with you. Bike On!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
