Claude's Story

Claude C. Jewell, of Buckley, passed away on Jan. 30, 2018.
He is survived by his sons, Rick (Judy) and Phillip Jewell; their mother, Winnifred Kunkel; grandchildren, Andrea, Jessica, Chris, Jennifer, Becky, Amanda, Taylor and Dylan; and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Andrew, Victor, Kylee and Wyatt; and all his loving stepchildren from Karla and Delores.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karla; wife, Delores; daughter, Diana Gordon; and his five siblings.
Claude enjoyed fishing and going out to eat, especially for crab legs.
He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He started his job with Schworm Excavation in 1949 and worked there his entire career.
More than anything, he loved to spend time with his family, and he will be missed very much.
A memorial visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, and last until the service which begins at noon, at Covell Funeral Home, Kinglsey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Arrangements are entrusted to Covell Funeral Home.
