Emma Louverna Warren

Emma Louverna Warren passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Navarre, Florida. She was 102.
Emma was born to Errol and Mabel Wilkinson on July 28, 1916 in Buckley. She was the oldest of six children and is survived by a sister, June.
Emma met her husband, Maurice Richard Warren at a print shop where they worked together. They were married July 9, 1936.
Emma had six children, Mary Campbell, of Navarre, Florida, Sharon Madsen, of Clancy, Montana, David (Carolyn) Warren, of Traverse City, Marilyn (Gene) Knapp, of Harbor Springs, Becky (Marshall) Holmes, of Traverse City, and Steve (Olga) Warren, of Traverse City. Emma had 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She loved her family very much and passed on a great heritage of faith in God and cherished memories to all.
Emma was a wonderful cook, loved crafts and flowers. She enjoyed singing the old hymns and reading her many Bible translations. The pages were all marked up with inspirations she had gleaned.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings; her husband, Maurice; grandson, Matthew Warren; and son-in-law, Joe Madsen.
The family is grateful for the loving care provided by our sister, Mary, and her son, Jonathan, the last four-and-a-half years of Emma's life.
A memorial service will be held at Haven of Hope Church, 7801 E. Harrys Road, Traverse City, on Sunday, June 23, at 4 p.m. A meal will be provided where family and friends can reminisce and honor Emma's life.
