Gary Klepper, 75, of Fife Lake, died at Munson Hospice House of Traverse City on Oct. 20 after a short illness.
Gary grew up in Birmingham with four siblings and parents, Constant and Betty (Fisher) Klepper; he graduated from Seaholm High School and completed two years of business school before being employed by the Postal Service. He worked in Birmingham and Franklin post offices for 32 years before retiring and beginning what became his favorite job - driving school bus in Troy.
He moved to the Traverse City area in 2006 and enjoyed bowling, card games, meeting new friends and traveling. He was much loved and will be missed.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kathleen Hall, of Kalkaska, and Kristine (Andy) McInnes, of Berkley; two grandchildren, Langton Hall and Alexandra Heroy; along with two sisters, Carol (Jim) Salbenblat and Connie Klepper, both of Denver, Colorado; and two brothers, Raymond (Cindy) Klepper, of Traverse City, and Robert Klepper, of Interlochen; many nieces and nephews; and his significant other and partner of 17 years, Martha Tomaselli.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service and his remains will be interred in Rochester Hills.
Memorial contributions may be made in Gary's name to Munson Hospice House of Traverse City or any of the hurricane relief funds.
