Gerald Lee Korb, 84, of Traverse City, passed away Feb. 25, 2018 at the Villa at Traverse Pointe with his family by his side.
Gerald was born on Jan. 12, 1934 to the late Adolph and Frances (Mikowski) Korb in Traverse City.
Gerald served our country honorably as a member of the United States Army from 1953 to 1956.
Jerry married the love of his life, the former Wanda Marie Crouch, on Saturday, April 19, 1958 in Traverse City.
Jerry lived in the Traverse City area all his life. He was employed at Traverse City Light and Power as a turbine operator and retired in the 1980s. Jerry was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, maintaining his car, listening to music and playing cards. Above all else, Jerry cherished his family and would do anything for them. He had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face which in turn made all those around him smile. He was a wonderful friend to all and will be greatly missed.
Jerry is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Wanda; son, Gerald (Brenda) Korb, of Traverse City; daughters, Valerie Korb, of Traverse City and Teresa (Troy) McIntyre, of Grawn; grandchildren, Callie (Mitch Naber), Troy, Mitchell (Rozzlon), Sara and Madilyn; great-grandchildren, Vivian, Emery, Roxanne and Monroe; sister, Delores (Neal) Evans, of Traverse City; and many other loving family members and friends.

The memorial Mass celebrating Jerry's life will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 12 p.m. with visitation beginning a half hour prior at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Graveside services will take place at a later date at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens where he will receive military honors.
