Gerald's Story

Gerald Robert Steinhauer, 70, of Fife Lake, passed away on Jan. 12, 2018 at his home.
Visitation will be today, Jan. 17, 2018 from 1 to 5 p.m. at their home. Burial will take place in the spring at Oliver Township Cemetery.
Gerald was born in Wayne, to Robert and Elizabeth Steinhauer on Oct. 6, 1947. He married Margaret Young on March 22, 1986. He worked for the Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and Michigan fan. He also loved to play horseshoes, walks in the woods, bon fires, old western movies, and Tiger baseball. He would make small wagers on games, and loved his dogs.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Gerald (Launa) Steinhauer, of Grass Lake, Shannon (Jim) Clements, of Fenton, Monica (Scott) Rouleau, of Kalkaska; sister, Sharon (David) Blanchard, of Gregory; sister-in-law, Judy Steinhauer, of Mesick; and five grandchildren.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, William.
