Harold W. Parker, 96, of Rapid City, passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at Meadow Brook in Bellaire. He was born on Dec. 25, 1920 in Pontiac to the late Avery and Lillian (Dawson) Parker.
Harold honorably served his county in the U.S. Army.
He married Ilene Bjork on Nov. 21, 1940 in Pontiac.
Harold retired from Ford Motor in Wixom after 30 years of service. Together Harold and Ilene moved to Black Lake and later to the Kalkaska area.
Harold was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for many years and was the past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Walled Lake.
Survivors include his son, John W. (Karen) Parker, of Rapid City; daughter-in-law, Kathy Parker, of Waterford; grandchildren, Phillip W. (Jennifer) Parker, Janine A. (Peter) Tremonti, Krista A. (Philip) Tremonti, Brent Parker and Michelle Parker; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Ilene in 1997; and son, Ronald R. Parker.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 14, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Eric Black from St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate.
