She invested in real estate, did income taxes for seniors, worked at Bealls department store and volunteered for Hospice. She then met Jack Bachman of New Port Richey, Florida. Married in 1989, they enjoyed 13 wonderful years together, living in a golf course community. They made countless friends and traveled extensively until 2002.
Back to Michigan, this time to Williamsburg in the Traverse City area. She became a member of Christ the King Parish in Acme. She enjoyed watching her granddaughters grow up. Eventually Phil, Elma, and Terrie also returned to northern Michigan to be close to her.
