James Arthur Grant, 75, of Suttons Bay, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.

After retiring Jim relocated to Northern Michigan and held several jobs, which included working for Frigid Foods, Leelanau Sands Casino and Leland Township.
Jim was a member of the Little Finger VFW Post 7731 in Lake Leelanau. For years Jim was an active member giving his time to honor veterans in various VFW sponsored activities.
Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. One constant activity he enjoyed was being able to plan family get-togethers that allowed all his children and grandchildren to attend. Jim always made sure he attended the Grant family camp out at Camp Timberline in Benzonia. Each fall he enjoyed bow hunting in Curtis, which provided an opportunity for spending time with his sons and grandsons.
He was a family orientated man and a fun-loving father who never met a stranger.
