John "JD" Beaver, 56, of Benzonia, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Munson Medical Center.
He was blessed with many gifts, talents and skills. His love for hunting, fishing, fixing things and engaging in many different projects kept him busy. He had a competitive spirit and a love of games. JD also enjoyed going for drives near and far.
JD worked as a butcher with Stone's Market which led to a unique talent for processing deer.
He is survived by his siblings, Agnes (Charles) Cross, Bernice (Tony) Sineway, Bertha (Marsh) Spaford, Ginger (Eugene) Zambon and Elizabeth (Paul) McGarth; brother, Fred (Darlene) Weissert; special brothers, Tom Duford, Dave Kublick, Larry Wareham, Rod Meister, Billy Slade and Bryan Johnstone; many nieces and nephews; and loving companion, Angela Bowen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Agnes Beaver; and siblings, Joyce Duford, Bonnie Edinger, Judy Kublick, Gerry Pamame, Sarah Lugg, Nancy Amy, Mike Sperling, Clifford Gerou and Mose Beaver.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 25, at Jowett Family Funeral Home in Benzonia, with Pastor Dan Ingersoll officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place this spring in Benzonia Township Cemetery.
