Karen Lee Finkhouse, of Thompsonville, 76, passed away on March 2, 2018 at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Born in Muskegon, on Aug. 2, 1941 to Alvin Reimer and Dorothy (Lundwall) Reimer. Karen married Albert "Monte" Finkhouse on May 14, 1960. They celebrated 55 years of marriage just the week before Monte passed away. Karen had missed Monte every day since his passing and just wanted to be back together with him. Now they are rejoicing together once again. Karen was also preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Albert L. Finkhouse and Helen M. Finkhouse; as well as her sister, Marcia Sandberg. Karen is survived by daughter, Heidi and Jeff Pelnar; and grandson, Dustin Finkhouse, of Thompsonville; Scott and Shelly Finkhouse and grandsons, Collin and Cameron, of Grand Rapids; brother, Tom and Beverly Reimer; nephew, Benjamin, of Norton Shores; sister-in-law, Pamela Finkhouse; and niece, Misti (Randy) Holleman; and great-nephews, Trenton and Trevor, of Grand Haven; brother-in-law, Roger Sandberg, of Muskegon; nephew, Steven (Candy) Sandberg; and great-nephew and niece, Brandon, Nakayla, of Texas, Todd (Brigitta) Sandberg, and great-nephews, Calvin and Christian, of Hungary; Extended loving family, Benjamin, Amy, Annabelle, Elliott and Ethan MacRae, of Frankfort; Step-grandchildren, Jeremy (Cassandra) Pelnar of Wisconsin; Karen, step-great-grandchildren, Abby, Hunter and Lydiya Stoller, of Wisconsin; Amy (Jake); and step-great-grandsons, Evan, Damien and Connor Lardinois, of Winconsin; Daniel Pelnar, of Wisconsin; Special friends, Crystal Joan and Chris Sutherland, of Thompsonville; and her loyal companion, Ginger.
Funeral Services will be held at First Congregational Church in Thompsonville, on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 3 p.m. by Mark Belanger. Visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. with a luncheon to follow. Funeral Services done by Jowett Family Funeral Home.
