Lawrence W. Adams, age 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Traverse City on Aug. 20, 2017. Larry was born in Traverse City in 1945 to Ervin and Clariss Adams.
After graduation from Traverse City Central High School he entered the U.S. Army where he served for four years.
Upon returning home Larry went to work at Chef Pierre, where he spent his career until his retirement in 2012.
Larry is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carol Adams; two daughters from a former marriage, Tina O'Donnell and Kay (John) Cannon; grandchildren, Makala, McKenzie, Tyler, Alton and Rieley; brother, James Rowe, of Florida; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Garnet and Ruby.
A memorial service will take place Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at 2:30 p.m., at the Salvation Army, 1239 Barlow St., Traverse City.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City.
