North's Story

North Robert (Sheaffer) Cummins, of Traverse City, has flown free to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born on March 30, 1999 in Traverse City, the son of Susan Cummins and Roland "Ron" Sheaffer.
North enjoyed the outdoors, loved being with his friends and having fun. North loved horses and was magically in tune with them. His lifetime dream was to someday "be like his brothers."
North is survived by his daughter, Marley Grace Roose Cummins; Marley's mother, Autumn; his mother, Susan (Mike) Cummins; his father, Ron (Lorna) Sheaffer; stepmother, Judy Sheaffer; siblings, Rhonda (Todd) Granger, Scott (Keri) Sheaffer, Trent (Sarah) Sheaffer, Erin (Shawn) Hollister, Angela (Brett) Payne, Kim (Shawn) Cole and Jaqueline Sheaffer; stepbrother, Elijah Knight; stepsisters, Annie Biezska, Lorna Patrick and Tiffany Morris; grandmother, Judy Kroesing; nieces and nephews, Austin (Preslye) Granger, Autumn Granger, Carolanne Sheaffer, Alli Sheaffer, Benjen and Maggie Sheaffer, Robert and Camerin Fraley, Shannon Hollister, Ethan and Tobias Payne; Baby Cole on the way; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. North also leaves his very special friend, Isaac; and his four legged buddy, Sheaffer.
North was preceded in death by grandparents, Larry Kroesing, Robert Cummins, Phil and Mary Catherine Sheaffer; and cousin, Jonathan Welden.
A life celebration will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Interlochen Eagles, outside back Pavilion, with Sister Diane Stier officiating. An informal gathering will continue from 3 to 5 p.m.
Any donations would be welcome for the help in raising of his daughter, Marley. There is a GoFundMe account in North's name at https://www.gofundme.com/help-for-norths-family-and-baby.
