Robert's Story

Robert E. Isaacs passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born on April 13, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Edgar and Alice (Ross) Isaacs.
Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving honorably during the Vietnam War.
He married Bonnie L. Donnelly on May 21, 1983 in Grayling.
Bob retired from Ford Motor as an engineer in 1991 after working 28 years.
His hobbies included snowmobiling, enjoying the "great outdoors," summer camping, traveling and cruises on the oceans. He had been in all 50 states. Bob loved being on his pontoon at Cub Lake.
Surviving Bob are his wife of 34 years, Bonnie; children, Michael D. (Jennifer), of Taylor, and Michelle (Terry), of Westland; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 23, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Wolfe O'Neill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bear Lake Christian Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Scott A. Hoffer will officiate.
