Bob Wolff, 84, of Hilton Head, South Carolina, passed away Dec. 25, 2017. He was born in Kalamazoo the son of the late Ralph and Sally Wolff.
He was raised in Traverse City and graduated from St. Francis High School, where he played basketball. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and then completed his education at Central Michigan University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in business.
During his college years he met his wife of 59 years, Carol.
Bob began his career with General Motors, which took him to several locations in Michigan and Ohio. He retired as a resident comptroller and moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina, in 1994.
He enjoyed golf, kayaking and being with family and friends. He was a loving, caring husband and father.
Bob was a member of the Country Club of Hilton Head and also a former member of Dolphin Head for 25 years, where he served as president. Bob also worked for several years at Moss Creek Golf Course as a starter.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carol; their daughters, Karen (Jeff) Knauf, of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and Traci Wolff, of Novi; three grandchildren, Alex Knauf, Christopher and Nicholas Volpe; his brothers, Ralph (Barb) Wolff and Jerry (Sue) Wolff; and his sisters, Sally (Ron) Steele, Joan Forton and Jan Brunn.
Bob was a member of St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held there Friday, Jan. 5, at 10:30 a.m. Friends will be received for the hour before the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to St. Francis Catholic School, 45 Beach City Road, Hilton Head, SC 29926.
