Shelley J. Rosa
She will be remembered always for how well she loved her family, all the time she spent with them at the lake and for making everyone laugh. She showed unconditional love to everyone and every animal she encountered. She was generous, humble, faithful, vibrant and entertaining. She was selfless and willing to help others. Shelley enjoyed many adventures on her bucket list and playing Mahjong with her friends.
She was fiercely loved by all who knew her.
Shelley was an active member of the community with various organizations such as the Zonta Club, Coho Festival and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She was the founding member of the Honor Area Restoration and generous with her time volunteering and creating care packages for soldiers overseas.
Shelley was the driving force of two successful businesses for 20 years. She also owned the Fitness Center in Beulah and worked as a real estate broker. She worked as the township treasurer for 38 years and the tax assessor for 16 years.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Matthew and Brian; parents, Donna and Don Olney; brother, Jeff Olney; sister-in-law, Dawn Olney; siblings-in-law, Dan Rosa, Sarah Rosa, Jeanne Moore, Kitty McMullin and Kelly McMullin; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, for whom she cared deeply.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Greg.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at Fresh Winds Community Church, with Pastor Chuck Towersey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Contributions may be directed to Alzheimer's Association, Honor Restoration Project and HARP.
