Susan Carol Houghton-Morgan, 76, of Kingsley, passed away on May 16 at her home. She was born on Feb. 17,1941 at her grandma's house on Blair Townhall Road in Traverse City to the late Frank M. and Dorothy C. (Harrigan) Houghton.
Susan is survived by her children, Clinton (Lori) Rodes, Kevin (Barbie) Morgan, Kyle (Pam) Morgan, all of Kingsley, and Marci (John) Kennedy, of Kalkaska; grandchildren, Jason, Nicole (Ron), Brandon, Tiffany, Kelli (Jonathan), Nicholas (Adrian), Suzi (Jonathan), Justin, Devin, Cody and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Alaynah, Tristan, Ella, Abby, Jacob, Kameron, Owen and Madalynn; her siblings, Joan Bembeneck, of Traverse City, and Mick (Freda) Houghton, of Kingsley; and several nieces and nephews.
Susan worked many years in the automotive industry and Quality Dial.
She enjoyed kicking her brother's behind at Yahtzee in the early hours and card games with her grandkids.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Rosetta Shearer, Nancy Frye, Peg Knight and Ruth Stevens.
Cremation has taken place, per Susan's wishes. A memorial service will be held on June 3, 2017, at 11 a.m., at the American Legion in Fife Lake.
