Vivian June Birdsey, 85, of Williamsburg, died on Nov. 30, 2017 at Munson Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born on June 8, 1932 in Bellaire to her parents, Francis and Signa (Polander) Sanford.
She married Lloyd A. Birdsey on May 16, 1952 in Traverse City, and the couple celebrated 65 years of marriage together. She was a stay-at-home mother for their eight children.
Vivian was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and later joined Christ the King Catholic Church in Acme.
She will always be remembered for her kindness, her spunky personality, her love for family, holiday family gatherings and being outside enjoying the beautiful weather.
She is survived by her four daughters, Cynthia (Joe) Wagner, Mary Sue (Jim) Schopieray, Kathleen (Tim) Harrigan and Angela (Tommy) Allen; and four sons, Anthony Birdsey, Daniel (Margaret) Birdsey, Timothy Birdsey (Deb Westfall) and Joseph Birdsey. Vivian was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lloyd A. Birdsey.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff in ICU at Munson Medical Center.
The immediate family is planning a private burial ceremony for Vivian.
