Ann's Story

On April 23rd, Ann passed on at her son's home in Vanceburg, Kentucky. Ann was born in Phoenix, Arizona on August 25, 1929 to John V. and Frances (Wheeler) Brennan.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her half brother Tim Stack of Holbrook, Arizona.
Ann is survived by her 5 children, David (Barbara) Messenger of Petoskey, Jerry (Nancy) Messenger of Petoskey, Tom (Linda) Bowen of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Kevin (Diane) Haynes of Vanceburg, Kentucky and Lee (Sam) Grieve of Marble Head, Ohio. She is survived by numerous grandchildren and several great grand children with two more on the way. She is also survived by her half sister Nancy and her half brother Steven Stack and long time friend Harriet. Ann will be missed by all her family and friends.
Ann moved to Traverse City in 1970 and worked in the trust department of Traverse City State Bank until she retired in 1996. She also worked at Dingeman Law offices and JC Penney after retirement. She was involved in Weight Watchers and the local Legal Secretaries Association. No services are planned at this time and cremation has taken place. Anyone wishing to make a donation in her honor, please donate to your local Humane Society as Ann was always taking in stray animals.
