Betty's Story

Text size

Betty was born June 3, 1928 to the late Kenneth and Marie (Roy) Hale in Detroit.
Betty was fun, adventurous and outgoing in her younger years and graduated to a prim and proper beloved grandma. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren.
She loved her 20 years as a sales clerk for J.L. Hudson in downtown Detroit, Northland Mall and 12 Oaks Mall until she retired.
She loved long car rides and was always up for a road trip. She enjoyed traveling and visited every state in the lower 48 plus Hawaii. Throw in the Caribbean and Mexico, too. Some of her favorite times were spent going out to dinner, enjoying ice cream or sitting by the fire. She had a sweet tooth for chocolate and loved to share with those around her. Above all else, Betty loved spending time at the family cottage on Green Lake.
Betty is survived and missed dearly be her son, Michael (Jamie) Antonich; and her grandchildren, Carrie (Kevin) Kobylski, Kelly (Ash) James, Adam Antonich, Eric Antonich and Lori Gary. Also missing her are her great-grandchildren, Issac, Allison, Faith, Daniel and Samantha.
She was preceded in death by both parents; son, Kenneth Antonich; daughter, Kathy Crockett; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Antonich; husband, Allan (Bud) Nielsen; and previous husband, Peter Antonich.
If things got overwhelming for Betty she would so often state, "Just too much rig-a-ma-role!!!"
As per the wishes of Betty, there will be no memorial or service.
