Carolyn Wright died peacefully surrounded by her good friends and pastor on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 after a long illness. She was born Feb. 24, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She graduated from high school and later continued her education and studied psychology, conservation and computing.
She held a variety of positions working as a medication aide and office secretary. She was an asset to every job because of her friendly and considerate personality.
Carolyn was an avid writer of poetry. She was published two times in the National Library of Poetry. Carolyn loved all animals, especially cats. She always signed her Christmas cards "Love, Carolyn and Rascal," her loving kitty companion.
Carolyn had a kind, gentle heart. She was known for always being so thoughtful and saying, "Oh, thank you, honey," or "God bless you," for even the smallest of tasks. Carolyn will be missed by her many friends of Oak Terrace, especially her best friend, Cynthia Oliver.
There will be a remembrance gathering at Oak Terrace Apartments Community Room on Saturday, July 1, at 2 p.m.
Memorial gifts may be given to any humane society or animal rescue.
