Cynthia D. Mehigh, age 64, passed away peacefully on Sept. 26, 2017.
She is survived by her siblings, Gina (Loren) Eckerdt, Laurie (Thomas) Sisco, Donna Smith and Lee Mehigh; seven nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Barbara (Duell); and grandparents.
Cynthia loved her cat, Maggie. She enjoyed traveling and spent some time living in Texas.
She was a member of the League of Women Voters, a licensed real estate broker, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Grand Rapids. She enjoyed being in a dinner club with her close circle of friends.
Cynthia was an administrative assistant for CH2M.
Cynthia had an eye for fashion, shopping for clothes that always looked perfect on her. She also had a flair for decorating. Her home was always decorated beautifully but inviting. Her favorite season was fall, loving the cooler air and changing leaves that signaled the holidays were right around the corner. More than anything, Cynthia loved her family and will be greatly missed.
A memorial visitation will take place at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City on Tuesday, Oct. 3, from noon to 1 p.m., with a celebration life service beginning at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alliance for the Great Lakes, 150 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 700, Chicago, IL 60601.
