Diane Joyce Vannatter, 73, of Williamsburg, passed away on May 20, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born to the late James L. and Mildred D. (Kruger) Anderson on April 6, 1944 in Detroit.
Diane loved gardening, sunshine, wind and warm weather. She would pass her time manicuring her yard and soaking in the warmth. She never met a stranger and made everyone around her feel special. She was always willing to help others and would put others needs first before herself.
She fought a short, but brave fight against cancer.
Diane is survived by her husband of 53 years, Vern; children, Kelly Cantrell and Brad Vannatter; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Per Diane's request, there will not be a funeral. She asks that you remember her as she was, make a special toast in her honor and share stories of her wonderful life here on earth.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in her honor to Munson Hospice House or Cherryland Humane Society, both in Traverse City.
Arrangements were entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
