In the early morning hours of Monday, April 10, 2017, a three-year-old experienced a loss no child should ever face - the loss of his father. Jeremiah Michael Kochis, 29, of Beulah, born May 4, 1987, passed away at his home.
Jeremiah Michael was a good man, father, son, nephew and brother. He was quick to help anyone to the best of his abilities, had his father's love of driving and his grandpa Harwood's love of water. He brought a unique humor into every situation and loved his boys without boundaries to the moon and back.
Jeremiah Michael proudly served in the U.S. Navy for six years prior to his medical retirement.
Jeremiah Michael is survived by his son, Konner Dennis Kochis; his mother, Cynthia Kochis; brother, Mason (Alyssa) Kochis; wife, Ashley Kochis; stepson, Eli Johnson; maternal grandmother, Joan Harwood; aunt, Christine Harwood; aunt, Deborah (Michael) Ryan; uncle, Daniel (Stefani) Kochis; aunt, Catharine Hansford; uncle, Paul Kochis; as well as many cousins and friends.
Jeremiah Michael was preceded in death by his father, Russell Kochis; maternal grandfather, William Harwood; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Mary Kochis; uncle, Peter Kochis; and cousin, Isaac Ryan-McKinnon.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Jowett Family Funeral Home in Benzonia, with the Reverend Doctor James Harwood officiating the service of remembrance. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be directed towards the family.
