Karen is survived by her beloved children, James Carl Lacivita (Eve) and Kristine Marie Lacivita; former husband, James Lacivita, Jr.; sister, Kristine Dahlen-Gemmill; niece, Anne Gemmill Black; grand-nieces, Berit and Olivia Black; and grand pup, Olive.
Private celebrations of her memory will take place in Michigan and Illinois.
