Mary Irene Salisbury, of Maple City, passed away Sept. 3, 2017 at The Maples in Frankfort. She was born Aug. 3, 1935.
Mary enjoyed working as a cook at local restaurants for most of her life. She also loved to play rummy and put puzzles together in her spare time. She was a jokester who always brought a smile to everyone who met her. She was loved and will be remembered by many.
Mary is survived by her granddaughter, Tia (Adam) Cooley; great-grandson, Tyler Cooley; great-granddaughter, Allyson Cooley and her niece, Pauline Raihala.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Lloyd Stanton; sisters, Irma, Loretta, Gertrude, Alma, Florence, Beatrice; brothers, Raymond and Isaac; husbands, Kenneth Salisbury and Anthony Kurina; son, Ricky Kurina.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at St. Rita-St. Joseph Parish, in Maple City, with a time of receiving friends beginning at 10 a.m. and prayers of the holy rosary at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Cleveland Township Hall.
The Bennett-Barz Funeral Home, in Beulah, is in charge of arrangements.
