Terry Beckelic, 68 years old, of Copemish, died at his home in Marilla after a yearlong battle with cancer.
He was a loving husband for 39 years to wife, Rosie; and a loving father to his son, Sam (Kelly Rostar).
He loved to run the roads in Marilla and enter the local races. He enjoyed helping out at the Marilla Food Bank.
He retired from CNC programming and, along with his wife, owned and operated Rosie's Country Cafe in Thompsonville.
He was a Vietnam veteran who served from 1968 to 1970.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Beckelic; nephew, Ty Bulock; and niece, Kathy Beckelic.
He also leaves behind his mother, Norma (Bowling) Wheeler, and stepfather, Roy Wheeler, of Mesick; brothers, Paul (Trina) Beckelic, of Cadillac, and Dan (Nancy) Beckelic, of Mesick; sisters, Judy Bulock and Geraldine "Jeri" (Gerald) Corder, of Mesick; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.
A memorial luncheon to celebrate his life will be held at Marilla Township Hall Saturday, Aug. 5, from noon to 3 p.m.
