Barbara Stein Obituary

Williamsburg, MI - Barbara Brown Stein passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026. She was born to Philip R. Brown and Myrna Allene Bryan on August 14, 1936 in Sanderson, Texas. She was the youngest of two sisters, Patricia Brown being the older.

She met her husband, Terry Stein, when she was 14 (he was 12) and married him shortly after graduating Baylor University having earned a teaching degree.

She thereafter became an excellent housewife and mother of three girls, Kristin (Stein) Rebhan, Kara Stein (Harrison) and Cindy Stein (Kauppila).

She and Terry traveled the world together often with family in tow.

Not just a pretty face, she was quick witted and talented, lending her fingers to works of knitted art. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her membership in garden club, most recently the Friendly Garden Club of Traverse City.

Married 65 years, she was most passionate about Terry, the love of her life. She is survived by her three daughters, son-in-law Mark, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

There will be a private family memorial at a later date.
