Ben Hays Walker Obituary

Grawn, Michigan - Ben Hays Walker, age 70, of Grawn, Michigan passed away October 23, 2025 at his home. Ben was born October 4, 1955 in Montrose, Michigan to Keith and Mary-Ella (Hays) Walker. He moved to Kingsley, Michigan when he was thirteen with his family. He graduated from Kingsley High School in 1973. He was married to Shelly Sedlacek from 1974-1979. He then married Barbara Moses in 1980; she passed away in 2019.

Ben was a man of few words and a strong work ethic. He enjoyed gatherings of family and friends. His passions were taking care of animals and gardening. He prided himself on his pond that he spent hundreds of hours on. When it was too dark outside, he enjoyed a good western or the history channel inside.

Ben was preceded in death by his father Keith Walker; in-laws James and Audrey (Carpenter) Moses; and wife Barb (Moses) Walker. He is survived by his mother Mary-Ella (Hays) Walker; brothers, Kim (Pat) Walker, Bill (Sue) Walker, and sister, Sally Stowe; sons, Josh (Jennifer) Walker, Cory (Tracy) Walker, Zach (Megan) Walker, and Alex (Deb) Walker; and daughter, Nicole (Ben) Hart; and many grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
