Frankfort, Michigan - Carol "Lynn" Joslin, 76, of Frankfort, died June 18, 2026 in Maple City MI with her children by her side. Lynn was born September 19, 1949 to Harry Madison and Meda Ward in Elberta, Michigan. She was raised in Elberta, graduated from Frankfort High School, and completed most of the requirements for her full teaching certificate.

Lynn's greatest joys were being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and teacher. She was a devout Christian who loved her God, her family, and the children she encountered working many years as a Headstart Teacher in Frankfort and Kaleva. Lynn loved to see these young students grow up and be successful and she delighted in seeing them around Frankfort. Often Lynn would be stopped by her "kids" to share a hug and a story or catch up on new updates in their lives, which always pleased her.

With a soft-spoken voice and a quick smile, Lynn was a gracious lady, everyone's friend with a sweet personality. She was active in her church, checked in on neighbors, volunteered when she could, and truly made an impact on so many people. Lynn always had a soft spot for animals, especially her pets. She enjoyed traveling with family and field trips with the Headstart children, appreciated gospel and country music, and loved the wondrous beauty of nature that God presents daily. A favorite view was from the Frankfort, MI turn-around, to stand at the beach and watch the lake, the seagulls, and the sunset behind the lighthouse. While Lynn lived most of her life in Benzie and Manistee counties, her last years were spent in the loving care of the Maple Valley Nursing home in Maple City, MI. Many thanks to the wonderful support team of friends and staff who brought joy and comfort to Lynn's time there. The care, guidance, and support provided to Lynn and her family was invaluable and so appreciated!

Lynn is survived by two sons: Tony (Robin) Joslin of South Pittsburg, TN and Mike (Sandra) Joslin of Harrison TN; four grandchildren: Anthony Jr. (Shana) Joslin and great-granddaughter, Josie Marie of Chattanooga, TN, Nathan (Maria) Joslin and great-granddaughter, Amber Elysia of Hixson, TN, Josh Joslin of Harrison, TN, and Megean Cowsky and great-grandson, Emmett Thomas of Harrison, TN; four sisters: Charlene Wolfe of Wellston, MI, Norma Johnson of Harriet, MI, Debbie Blehm of Kaleva, MI, and Marva Anderson of Jenson, Florida.

Lynn was preceded in death by her grandson, Jacob Joslin; brother, Gary "Doc" Madison, and parents, Meda Ramirez and Harry Madison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Benzie County Animal Shelter or a Children's or Christian Aid charity of the donor's choosing, in memory of Lynn.

No funeral service will be held and interment will be at the Gilmore Township cemetery in Elberta, MI.
