Mr. Chester Herschel Greenman, age 78, of Walker, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Gail R. Greenman (Lawrence); her daughter, and son in law, Margaret and David Gaston; his siblings, Kathy Green, Jo (Gene) Malloy, Gary Greenman, Kenneth (Bonnie) Greenman; his in law, Sandee Clary, Bo Lawrence (Julie); several nieces; and nephews.
Chet served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart for his injuries.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed working on Spitfire cars belonging to several car clubs. Chet also enjoyed antiquing with his wife. His favorite rock band was the Grateful Dead being a real "Dead Head".
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd (Due to Covid-19 seating may be limited). His family will receive visitors for one hour before the funeral. Social distancing is appreciated.
Interment Southern Cemetery, Central Lake, MI. Memorial contributions to the Disabled American Veterans will be appreciated.
