Traverse City, Michigan - Connie Lou Johnson, 78, of Traverse City, died Friday, May 29, 2026. She was born on November 11, 1947 in Traverse City the daughter of Harold Albert and Mary Ann (Micham) Monroe.

Connie retired from Munson Medical Center working in the Human Resources department.

She was a member of Cherryland VFW Post 2780.

Connie enjoyed playing cards at the Long Lake Friends Church with her friends. She loved painting and crafts and watching Western's on the TV. She enjoyed Life in general.

Connie was a loving person. She loved everyone and was loved in return by everyone. She loved her children, stepchildren, grandkids and great grandkids. Connie loved traveling with Mike to Florida and Disneyland.

Connie is survived by her husband, Mike Johnson; they were married on June 23, 1990 in Traverse City; children, DJ (April), Lynnie (Donovan) and Shawn (Cindy); grandchildren, Skylar, Toni, Paige, Josh, and James; one great grandchild, brother, Dennis (Lisa) Monroe, Dan (Teresa) Monroe and Rod (Diane) Monroe; stepchildren, Mike, Debbie, Tammie, Emily and son-in-law, Jason, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Monroe and Mary Ann Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
