Constance Lorraine Lord


Constance Lorraine Lord, 67, of Traverse City, passed away July 17, 2019 at Munson Medical Center. Connie was born on Feb. 23, 1952 in Traverse City to the late Leo Martin and Margaret Lorraine (Eitzen) Hamilton.
Connie attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Traverse City High School.
While working at Millikens Department Store, she met the love of her life, Mark Lord. They married at a candlelight ceremony on Sept. 8, 1973 in Good Harbor.
Connie worked for Munson for many years, first with the dietary department, then at the Whine and Dine Cafe at MCHC and lastly, with the sleep clinic. She retired in 2009.
In her spare time, Connie enjoyed watching the Tigers. She also liked to gamble at the casino and even won a Ford Mustang in 2012. Above all else, she loved her time with her grandchildren.
Connie joins her son, Matt, and her parents in heaven.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Mark; daughter-in-law, Erin; grandchildren, Neva and Boden; brother, Gary (Kerri) Hamilton; nephew, Zack; niece, Holly; and many friends and family members.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 1 p.m., with visitation beginning at noon. Interment will follow at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cowell Family Cancer Center or to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Blessed that opening my little gym in Kingsley allowed me to meet and get to know Connie! Glad she is reunited with her son but I will miss her!
