Darryl Tomas Maginity, 60, of Thompsonville, died Monday, May 6, 2019 at The Grand Traverse Pavilions in Traverse City. He was born March 5, 1959 in Ypsilanti the son of Martin and Doris (Braden) Maginity.

Darryl was the kindest person you could ever hope to meet. He was a loving son and brother who made friends easily. His big smile lit up a room, and his gentle demeanor let you know he cared. He was a blessing to his family, and he left this world a better place than he found it.

Darryl is survived by his mother, Doris Maginity, of Thompsonville; his siblings, Michael (Cathy) Maginity, of Thompsonville, Van Maginity, of Brooklyn, Douglas (Susan) Maginity, of Interlochen, Byron (Patricia) Maginity, of Taylor, Tammy (Gregg) Bemiss, of Traverse City, and Neal (Brenda) Maginity, of Gaylord; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Darryl was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva. Interment will follow in the Thompsonville Cemetery in Thompsonville. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
