Traverse City, Michigan - Donald P. "Don" Korb age 88, of Traverse City, Michigan, formerly of Mesick, Michigan, passed away on Thursday August 28, 2025 at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Don was born on December 26, 1936 in Traverse City, Michigan to the late George and Fannie (Harris) Korb.

Don was a 1955 graduate of Traverse City St. Francis High School. Don worked for AT&T his entire career, starting at Michigan Bell and retiring from Ameritech after 39 years.

In 1982 he married the love of his life, Linda (Rutherford) Korb in Iron Mountain, Michigan and moved to Mesick, where he lived for 43 years.

Don enjoyed farming, making maple syrup, hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed visiting with friends at the Amvets Post 120, in Mesick, Michigan.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Linda of 43 years. Children, Daniel J. Korb (Nadine), David M. Korb (Jodi), James P. Korb (Allison), Jonathan M. Korb (Molly), Thomas J. Korb (Sharon), Jana L. Udstuen (Erik), Kristin L. Lautner (Mark), Karin M. Cascadden (Bruce), 24 grandchildren, and many great grands, sisters, Karen Sanborn and Kathy Hessem, sister-in-law, LuAnn Rutherford, and brother-in-law, William Rutherford (Kathi). He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Fannie Korb, brothers-in-law, Robert Sanborn and Edward Hessem, and daughter-in-law, Tandy Korb.

A memorial service honoring Donald will take place at 11 am, with visitation starting at 10 am, on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684. Deacon Tim Webb will officiate.
