Grayling, Michigan - Ella Dianne Erickson, 73, from Grayling, Michigan peacefully passed away on August 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on October 3, 1951, to parents Joseph and Eileen Hanskett in Seatle, Washington.

Ella was a proud mother of her three daughters. Bernadine Marie Jacobs, Ammy Patricia Erickson, and Sharron Dianne Montague.

Ella was a staple figure at Round's Restaurant where she worked for 39 years serving her regular customers and many more with a smile on her face and a gleam in her eye.

Ella was very proud of her Native American heritage, attending local Powwows as well as traveling up North to the U.P with her dearest friend Shelly Wilson.

Ella married Forrest (Eric) Erickson for a second time on August 25, 2014.

Ella is survived by her husband Eric, daughters Bernie, Ammy (Danny), and Sharron. Grandchildren Cameron, Donovan, Kera (Robert), Jareth (Kayla), Robert, Tamika, Malaika (Austin) and Devin. Great grandchildren Vincent, Miyah, Jae, Lilliana and Laiklyn. Siblings Joseph Jr (Rose), Betsy, John (Teresa) Maryanne, and Cheryl (Bill).

She is proceeded in death by her parents Joseph and Eileen and granddaughter Cassandra Rasho.

The family would like to recognize the staff at Munson Hospice House for their endless dedication, care and respect provided to Ella during her time there.
