Frank J. Pracher
Frank Joseph Pracher died peacefully in his home on Nov. 3, 2019 in Thompsonville. He was 74.
Frank was born on June 7, 1945 to his parents, Frank and Lottie (Evans) Prachar. He married Barbara Landis on June 16, 1973, and together they raised five children.
Frank was truly a jack of all trades, working as a machinist, carpenter, auto body technician, plumbing/heating assistant and maintenance technician. His favorite activities included day-trips with his wife, spending time with his children and grandchildren, hunting and fishing. He restored several antique vehicles and a tractor over the years. He was especially proud of the dream home he built for his wife of 46 years.
Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara (Landis) Pracher; his children, Barbara "Lynn" (Gene) Hoseit, Michelle Pracher, Sandy (Bill) Griffin, Tracy (Bruce) Van De Weg and Frank (Jennie) Pracher; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sisters, Lucille Harris, Laura (Dean) Chamberlain, Mary Lou Ware, Charlotte (Bill) Bailey and Rose (Chuck) Burns; and his brother, Larry (Debbie) Prachar.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lottie (Evans) Prachar, his brother, Ole (Edith) Johnson, and his brothers-in-law, George Harris and Irwin Ware.
A memorial service will be held on Nov. 9, 2019 at 11a.m., at Fresh Wind Christian Community, 18201 Honor Highway (U.S. 31), Interlochen.
Frank's family would like to say a special thank you to all those involved in his care: Dr. Ethan VanTil, the staff at Cowell Family Cancer Center and especially the amazing staff at Heartland Hospice. He loved and appreciated each of you.
