Kingsley, MI - James Franklin Baughn 86, born January 23, 1940, passed away peacefully surrounded by family July 20, 2026.

Jim was a diesel mechanic & owner of the Kingsley Inn. Jim enjoyed snowmobiling, NASCAR , football and refurbishing Tonka trucks, turning worn toys into restored treasures with meticulous care. He volunteered as fireman, Lions Club member, and spent hours at Civic Center South moving dirt as he would call.

Jim shared adventures with his wife, Bonnie Baughn. Together they traveled, camped & garage saled throughout the country. His faithful pet Roco was never far from his side.

Jim took great joy in his grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Jim will be remembered as a man who lived with purpose, humor, and heart. His family and friends will carry forward the stories, laughter, and lessons he shared so generously. Though he is gone, the imprint of his life remains in every trail he rode, every engine he repaired, and every person he loved.

James is survived by his wife Bonnie & 2 children: son Jim Baughn and daughter Stephanie Reamer (Bob husband). Grand Children Zac Baughn, Karl Fritz (wife Joanne), Keith Fritz (wife Beth), Ken Fritz (wife Dana), Steve Reamer (wife Chloe), Keith Reamer, and Debryn Reamer (husband Adam), along with 15 great grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister Clarese Baughn, Sister Sharon Fountain and her husband Rex Fountain, and Great Grand Daughter Charolotte Jane Reamer.

A Memorial Service at Kingsley United Methodist Church will be held September 28, 2026 at 11AM
