Williamsburg, Michigan - Jeffrey Howard Pickelman was called home on August 22, 2025. Jeff was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 3, 1954. He was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School and Saginaw Valley State University. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Russell, in 1976. Jeff and Mary would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this coming May.

Jeff served in the United States Navy from 1975 until 1981. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Independence. Jeff was the CEO of Northern Industrial Supply, Inc. and retired in 2021. After retirement Jeff and Mary moved to the Traverse City area. Jeff became a popular pourer and the "Chief Story Teller" at Soul Squeeze Cellars wine tasting room in Lake Leelanau. It was there he boasted about the vineyard, that rare "100 percent Petite Sirah," and of course, his grandchildren.

Jeff's most precious gifts were his grandchildren: Isabella, Rivers, Abel, and Sylvie. Jeff is survived by his wife, Mary, and sons Luke (Faye), and Erik. Jeff was predeceased by his mother, Betty, father Edwin, and brothers John and Barry, as well as his in-laws Bud and Ruth with whom he was close.

Jeff loved sports. Watching sports with him could be fun, unless you were the one wearing stripes. His passion was golf. After moving to Traverse City, Jeff met his golf partner and close friend Paul. They had quite the reputation at the resort clubhouse. Family Christmases and vacations were an important part of Jeff's life. "Uncle Feffy" aka Grampa was proficient at creating special memories. His family will miss him.

Memorial service will take place at Trinity Lutheran, Traverse City on Saturday, September 13 at 11 am.
