Mrs. Lewis was a great teacher! I was in her Quest class and 2 years of Spanish. We always had a lot of fun in class and working on fundraisers for Spanish Club. I am very thankful that she contributed many extra hours to the Spanish Club, ensuring that many of us had the opportunity to take a fun, educational trip to Mexico. I was very happy to run into Mrs. Lewis at the Kingsley market a couple of summers ago. It was nice to see and visit with her. She was always so kind!

Please accept my sincere condolences. I had the pleasure to travel with Jennie to Mexico on two occasions as a parent chaperone. She was an absolute blessing to her Spanish students. We had great times together, both in Mexico and with a Jr High Quest Class aboard the Malibar in the Grand Traverse Bay. She asked me to help in the classroom at times...she became a great friend. She was a very kind, fair and generous individual and always wanted everyone involved to glean the most from each opportunity. I have many great memories of a great lady and will remember her fondly! May great memories carry each of you through the days, months and years to come and may your hearts be full of her ...Love, Forever✝️Read more

I am on of the lucky ones she blessed with her teaching of Spanish in the Manton School system in the 1980's. She truly was a teacher you just couldn't wait for her class every day. She was very kind and fun, but made you work hard too. The perfect combination. I couldn't afford my portion of the trip to Mexico when my class went so I missed out on that trip. I was so sad to hear of her passing. Prayer of comfort for her family. She was way to young to go..

O the memories I have with Mrs. Lewis. I had her as my Spanish teacher for two years and I was honored that I was able to take a trip to Mexico with her and the Spanish Club. She was one of a kind and has left an amazing legacy!
