Traverse City, Michigan - Jolene Sue Clous, 64, of Traverse City, died at 4:20 pm, Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City. She was born May 14, 1961, in Traverse City, the daughter of Clayton and Judith (Anderson) Larson. Cardinals gathered outside her window --- a sign that her mother was waiting patiently for her to join her in Heaven.
Jolene graduated from Traverse City High. She worked as a legal secretary for Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge and Conklin Benham, both in Traverse City. She was an animal lover and especially loved cats. She enjoyed camping, especially in the Upper Peninsula, and always looked forward to her family's annual Labor Day weekends.
Jolene is survived by: her son, Curt (Madison) Clous; mother-in-law, Beverly Clous; siblings-in-law, Jim Clous, Alan (Pam) Clous, and Jean (Jeff) Johnson; nieces and nephews, Michelle (David) Robinson, Joshua Konecki, Bethany (Ryan) Steffes, Justin Konecki, and Eric (Jess) Clous; and former sister-in-law, Stacey Clous.
Jolene married her high school sweetheart, Paul Francis Clous, who preceded her in death on July 4, 2020. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Curtis Larson; brother-in-law, Tom Clous; and father-in-law, August Clous.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am, Monday, November 17, 2025, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, 511 S. Garfield Avenue, Traverse City, Michigan 49686 with visitation beginning at 10 am. Interment will follow in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
