Prescott, Az - Judith March Davis died on April 26, 2026 at home in Prescott, Arizona at the age of 97.

Formerly known in Traverse City as Judy Gamble, she and her husband Jim Gamble moved to Traverse City in 1961. They raised their four children here. Judy lived 20 years in Traverse City where she was a writer and editor for the Record Eagle. Later, she became the executive director of the Regional Arts Council. Jim and Judy Gamble helped to establish the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Grand Traverse in which they held many leadership roles. Among civic contributions, Judy chaired the Traverse City Human Relations Commission.

"Pagoda Dreamer, " her biography of her mother Dorothy Rowe, was published in 2009, and her own memoir, "The How of Then," came out in 2009 the year of her 90th birthday.
