Ken Godin Obituary

Traverse City, Michigan - Ken Godin died peacefully at home on October 7, 2025 in the loving presence of his family. Ken was a man of deep faith, a disciple, beloved husband, Dad, Grandpa/Papa, brother, uncle, cousin, mentor and friend. Over the years he was involved with DeColores, Crusillo, St. Patrick Living Last Supper, That Man is You, and Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP).

At the age of 50, Ken again embraced his love of swimming. Through this daily discipline and new friendships, he was introduced to freediving and triathlons. He became a member of Grand Traverse Masters Swimming, enjoyed weekly bike rides to Old Mission or Suttons Bay, and competed in several triathlons around the state.

Ken's capacity to love deeply, live fully, and give freely lives on in his family: his wife Peggy; their children Jeff (Rose) Godin, Mike (Melissa) Godin, Jennifer (George) Bouchey; and in their grandchildren Aaron, Mason, Annamay, Genesis, Shylah, Thérèse, Teresa, Azélie, and Genevieve.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 15 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church from 4 pm - 7 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 16 at 11 am, with visitation at 10 am. Following a luncheon in the Parish Hall, the Rite of Committal will take place at 2:30 pm at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Our family has been blessed to receive support from a myriad of people. We would like to extend our unending gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, medical staff, family and friends that were on this long journey with us.
