Kenneth W. Sisco Obituary

Alma, Michigan - Kenneth W. Sisco, age 91, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan, on February 8, 2026.

Ken is survived by sons, Keith (Laurel) of Lapeer, Curt of Mesick, and Douglas of Grandville, MI.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Barbara Sisco (Hames); parents, Eugene and Mary Sisco (Talley); and sister, Janice Stutzman (Sisco).

Ken was born in Detroit, a child of the Great Depression and part of America's Greatest Generation. During WWII, he could recall seeing tanks driving on the roads near his house as they were on their way to being delivered to the military. He graduated high school and married Barbara in 1953. Eventually moving to the Lansing area, he was the Retail Advertising Manager at the Lansing State Journal for many years. He and Barb loved to travel, visiting Europe, Ireland, India, and Alaska, both by motorhome and then again on an inside passage cruise.

Ken was active in the Free and Accepted Masonic Order, first in the youth Order of DeMolay and continued in Freemasons, achieving a level 32. He also had a tremendous sense of community and belonged to the Kiwanis and Lions organizations. While living in East Lansing, he was a Deacon at the Eastminister Presbyterian Church and continued to practice his faith at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Traverse City, also as a Deacon.

Ken loved his family, especially his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Family reunions were very important to Ken, with one being hosted at their Lake Ann lake house with over 70 attendees from all over the country!

Per family wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place in the summer.
