Kingsley, Michigan - Kevin Ray Morgan, 63, of Kingsley, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI. Kevin was born July 1, 1963, in Traverse City, MI to Kester Ray Morgan and Susan Carol (Houghton) Morgan. Kevin married the love of his life, Barbara Jean (Sumner) Morgan on June 25, 1994, in Kingsley, MI. "The Rev" was a jack of all trades but master of none. In his spare time, he loved hunting & fishing, camping with friends and family, and even cutting wood. He enjoyed spending time in the Upper Peninsula and many of his Saturdays in the summer were spent at Merritt Speedway. He also enjoyed working on his 1940 Chevy Coupe and attending the St. Ignace Car Show. Heavy Kevy and Hazel (Barb) loved going on drives together and stopping for a scratch off ticket. He was passionate about helping others and was a big brother and dad to many. Above all, he was a family man who loved spending time with his wife, kids, and grandchildren. Our fat little brother will be missed by all and remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Kevin is survived by his wife Barbara Morgan; children Jason, Nicole (Ron), Brandon, and Tiffany (Edward); grandkids Hannah, Alivia, Alaynah, Ariella, Tristan, Amiyah, Lincoln, Nickolas, Hunter and Laylie; great-grandkids Jaxon and Ollivander; siblings Carl (Kerry), Gracie (Bruce), Clinton (Lori), and Kyle; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Kester Morgan; mother Susan Morgan; father-in-law Gerald Stachnik; mother-in-law Wilma Stachnik; brother-in-law Brian Sumner; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at The Summit City Grange Hall on Saturday, August 1, 2026, beginning at 11 am until 3 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home.
