Laura Sophia Milliron, 90, of Nessen City, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at home with her four daughters and one of her sons by her side. She was born May 11, 1931, in Nessen City, the daughter of John and Eva (Hall) Egan.

Laura was a loving wife mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and when she was younger, spent winters cross country skiing, sledding and playing cards and games with her loved ones.

Laura was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, in Copemish, where she taught CCD classes and was a member of the Parish Council. In addition to her steadfast faith, the most important thing in Laura's life was her family. She was known for putting on big family dinners, and loved being surrounded by those she loved, especially her children and grandchildren.

Laura is survived by her children, Calvin Milliron, of Copemish, Steve Milliron, of Thompsonville, Joe Milliron, of Copemish, Gary (Cindy) Milliron, of Buckley, Janet (Dale) Humphrey, of Bear Lake, Sharon (Dennis) Humphrey, of Bear Lake, Christine (Ralph) Hogarth, of New York and Laurie (Mark) Draeger, of Nessen City; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

On May 5, 1951, in Onekama, Laura married Charles "George" Franklin Milliron who preceded her in death on March 23, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents; children, Karen Mary Milliron, George Milliron and Kenneth "Kenny" Milliron; brothers, Paul, Claude and Walter Egan; sisters, Lena Milliron, Grace Meachum, Margaret Waters and Edna Chandler; sister-in-law, Mary Foraker.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to Benzie Senior Resources. Laura's family will be eternally grateful for the love and support both organizations provided at the end of Laura's life.

A service is being planned for a later date.
