Lillian Marie Linner (Gleason), age 81, of Grand Rapids went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022. Lillian (Lily) was born on July 16, 1940 in Traverse City.

She graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1958. She loved singing and dancing in school plays and choir. She married Charles Raymond Linner, Sr. (Charlie) on July 15, 1961. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last year with their children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Milton Gleason, Leona Mary (Quillan) Gleason Toohey; Step-Mother, Mary (Gleason) Pattinson; stepbrother, Robert Kellogg (Kelly) Fairbanks; and son-in-law, Jeffrey Martin Sironen.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charlie; Sister, Elaine (Gleason) Whitney; children, Marilee (Linner) Sironen, Charles R. Linner, Jr. and Robert (Susan) Linner; and grandchildren, Jensen Linner, Allison (Linner) (Steve) Kearney, Jarod Sironen (fiancé Gracy), Abraham Linner and Alyssa Linner.

Lily started performing for family and friends at age four singing mainly and some tap dancing. She would perform with her father who had a band. Lily sang in her church choirs and joined Millcreek Chapter of Sweet Adeline's in 1974, transferred to the Grand Rapids Chorus and was a member for 20 years. Lily's love to harmonize continued in four barbershop quartets which two of them participated in Regional competitions. Lily loved camping, family gatherings, going to the grandchildren's school activities and sporting events and every year creating treasure hunts at Easter. She enjoyed crocheting gifts and making items for Martha's Guild. She worked in the medical field for forty years as a medical assistant and retired as a medical transcriptionist.

Lily will be missed by many but her fun loving soul will be with us always.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua 2510 Richmond NW where the family will receive visitors one hour before the Mass. (The Mass will be Livestreamed via the St. Anthony of Padua website www.saparish.com) Private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday April 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. with the Rosary being said at 7 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
